'Welcome to Qualia Sport Horses'

Qualia Sport Horses is situated in the rural town of Pinjarra, Western Australia about an hour south of Perth near the new Forrest Highway. The Peel Region provides an excellent setting for our horses with good soils for lush pasture and hay and a fantastic climate all year round. Being just 20 minutes from the Mandurah CBD and beach, Pinjarra is one of the most popular rural areas in WA.

Qualia is a smaller boutique Australian Stock Horse Stud that prides itself on breeding for quality, not quantity. We mainly breed competition horses for ourselves but also aim to provide a selection of horses each year that will be offered for public sale. We firmly believe the key to breeding a top class horse begins with the mare and as such have a small, select broodamare band that has been chosen for their ability, type, temperament and genetics.

We have been involved in horses and numerous equestrian disciplines all our lives. Like most kids we started off with a Pony Club background competing at the Perth Royal Show as youngsters in the hack and led classes giving us the good, essential riding basics from the beginning that helped us to become highly successful with many ponies and horses in every equestrian discipline from Eventing to Prince Phillip Games! Somewhere in there we got our hands on a polocrosse racquet and the rest as they say is history.

The main part of Qualia is a 6 acre property just out of town. It consists of post and rail day yards with shelters, white sand indoor stalls with a vet shed and 2 shoeing bays, post and rail irrigated clover and kikuyu day paddocks, a shaded round yard adjoined to a 20m x 25m rectangular yard for breaking and training purposes and also a 30m x 55m clay/loam arena.

The ‘work track’ is a 40 acre block predominantly used to graze cattle but we are also able to fitness train our competition horses and put some miles under young horses legs . There are numerous places to ride out in the bush and even down to the Peel Estuary providing a great opportunity to expose our horses to different environments and keep their minds fresh.
